Names Matter
Last night as I was getting on the subway a family was getting off. The two little boys were dressed as pirates, each armed with a plastic cutlass. They were dragging their feet a bit as their mother tried to hurry them along. Then, as they were reaching the door one of the boys thrust his cutlass at the man sitting by there. The mother yelled, "Damien!" and hustled him off the train.

Damien is not a good name for a pirate. If you give a kid a name like Damien, you should really urge him toward a profession in which he's less likely to be beaten up. Perhaps acting in soap operas?
